Road Closures and Sidewalk Access
At this time, one block of Central Avenue from Spec Wilson Boulevard to Magnolia Street is closed to traffic, and detour signs are in place to help guide you. A public parking lot is located behind Mimmo’s and the Rusty Chandelier, accessible from Carroll Gartin Blvd., Magnolia St., or Spec Wilson Blvd. We encourage visitors to allow extra time when driving downtown. For pedestrians, all sidewalks remain open. In some areas, walkways may be narrowed or fenced next to active work zones, but you can still stroll through downtown and reach your favorite businesses with ease.
